INSURANCE CLAIMS

What To Do When the Unexpected Happens?

1. If it’s a major collision and you are injured, let police and emergency service to take care of you. Don’t worry about your scooter at this stage – police will photograph the scene from every angle, speak to witnesses, examine the position of the vehicle(s) to determine who is at fault, and tow your scooter away. They will provide you with the help you need if you require it and present you with an official police report.

2. If it’s a minor collision and there are no injuries, make a note of it and write down the time, exact location (street name, house or building number).

3. It is always advisable to call the police even if it is a minor collision. Do not let the other driver convince you that “we don’t need to get the police involved.”

4. Get all personal and vehicle details from the other party involved (name, address, contact phone number, driver licence, make, model, number plate and insurance details).

5. Take down details of any witnesses to the accident.
